Methodology

This test is performed using Abbott Laboratories chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay

(CMIA) on the Alinity Analyzer.

The concentration of CA 125 in a given specimen can vary when measured by assays from different manufacturers, due to differences in methods and reagent specificity. Results determined by assays using different methods may not be comparable.
