Acceptable samples are lesions from anorectal, genital nasal, ocular, oral, urethra, or skin sites.

Anatomical site of collection required.

Sterile swab in Viral Transport Media

Do not use calcium alginate swabs

Acceptable Viral Transport Media includes:

BD UVT, Remel M4, Remel M4RT, Remel M5, Remel M6 or UTM transport media.

Place swab in VTM. Transport on ice.
