Antibody results should not be used alone for diagnosis and must be interpreted in light of clinical manifestations and other test results.
Antibodies of the cardiolipin IgA isotype may occur in patients with clinical signs of antiphospholipid syndrome (APS), but the results are not considered diagnostic.

This assay is performed using Phadia 250 fluoroenzyme immunoassay (FEIA).
