Important Note

Histology (ext 31483) must be contacted at least 24 hours prior to sample collection to make necessary arrangements for testing.

Fresh Muscle Tissue

Collect at least 10x10 mm of muscle tissue and submit on saline moistened sterile gauze.

DO NOT SOAK TISSUE IN SALINE. Failure to comply may result in specimen rejection.

Please remove clamps from tissue.

Label specimen with 2 patient identifiers accompanied by a complete requistion and patient H &P.

Immediately deliver specimen to Histology Department.
