This test is performed using Abbott’s chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay (CMIA).

The concentration of PSA in a given specimen can vary when measured by assays from different manufacturers, due to differences in methods and reagent specificity.
Results determined by assays using different methods may not be comparable.
