Reference Range

Positive: Evidence of recent or past infection, vaccination or immunoglobulin administration.
Negative: A negative result presumes that immunity has not been acquired. 

If exposure to Rubella virus is suspected, a second specimen

should be collected and tested one or two weeks later.

Equivocal: A second specimen should be collected 1-2 weeks later.
